Of Lotions: Four Cow Farm

April 2013

In the recent years, news have reporting on how certain baby products are deemed unsafe and dangerous because of some chemicals that they carry. As of now, it is hard to tell the adverse effects of such toxic chemicals in our children but who knows what will happen in the long run. Hence, E and I are much more cautious in our purchase decisions for Ryan and Baby Gillian.

When we are given the opportunity to try out all natural and
organic products of Four Cow Farm. We were delighted!

What is Four Cow Farm?

The Four Cow Farm range was started by a grandmother(who used to be a midwife) and she wanted to make creams and balms that were as good and natural as possible for her two little grandchildren (one of whom has eczema). After trying our many products in the market and found them to be unsuitable. Grandma decided to use time-tested recipes and traditional ingredients(sourced from trusted suppliers) to create the best all-natural products for babies that are free from unnecessary fragrances and chemicals so common today, and with absolutely no artificial additives or chemical hazards whatsoever.

With a Grandma so dedicated to making the best for her grandchildren, you can be sure that Four Cow Farm products are definitely highly desirable for our babies.

Bath time is a time that I enjoy most with Baby Gillian. I get to bathe her(yes, despite being on confinement, I still bathe my kiddos everyday!), massage her, talk to her and see that she looks totally happy and relaxed. And this in turn makes me happy as well!

For bath time, we use the Four Cow Farm Baby Wash. It is excellent for babies, little ones or adults as an all-over face, hair and body wash that’s richly soothing and moisturising. The wash is also suitable for irritated skin, dry hair or scalp or those sensitive to chemicals.

You can see my baby girl looking all so cheery for bath time!)

Just like most ladies, Baby Gillian is a huge fan of massage. After every bath session, I will treat her to a massage time(lasting 10 minutes) using Four Farm Baby Lotion. The lotion smells natural and beautiful, with a hint of almonds. I love how the lotion is moisturising, it absorbs quickly in the skin and leaves no sticky residue. Massage is a great bonding time for me and Baby Gillian. Both of us are in a relaxed mood and she looks so comfortable with me massaging her hands, toes and body. The experience is made better with a trusted baby lotion!

We have heard plenty about the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of calendula. In fact, calendula is an  excellent soother for a variety of skin irritations. Compared to the other calendula creams in the market, Calendula Remedy is rich in calendula goodness- made with 80% organic calendula-infused olive oil, which is slowly infused over days, with Vitamin E and organic roman chamomile, and all-natural beeswax!

Calendula Remedy is a rich, emollient balm for soothing inflamed or irritated skin. It can be used on skin affected by eczema, hives, bites or contact dermatitis or for calming minor cuts, scrapes or bruises. As you can see in the picture below, Baby Gillian is having some baby eczema on her cheeks. Instead of going to a pediatrician who will probably prescribe her some steroid cream that will thin her skin, we are using the Calendula Remedy on her affected areas and after using the cream for 2 days, I noticed that her rash is getting lesser! In fact, Ryan is also using the Calendula Remedy for insect bites and it helps to soothe his skin as well!

Four Cow Farm Nappy Cream is a soothing barrier cream and emollient containing anti-inflammatory ingredients. I use it on Baby Gillian after every nappy change and it does help to protect her skin and prevent any occurrence of nappy rash! I love how the cream is light and easy to apply in comparison to the one(quite thick and pasty) used previously.

After using Four Cow Farm products for 3 weeks or so, I must say that our family is a convert. The four products that Baby Gillian is using are both light and rich in goodness. Just knowing that the ingredients that goes inside the products are of premium food-grade just makes me feel much better when using it on the skin of my precious babies. You just got to give Four Cow Farm a try to know what I really mean… 🙂

The products from Four Cow Farm for this post are kindly sponsored by Spring Maternity.
