Breastfeeding- Nursing Bras

May 2013

Breastfeeding is good for our babies but it comes along with unattractive nursing bras. During the process of breastfeeding, I do get unhappy and discouraged about the milk supply. To add on to my slight unhappiness, nursing bras are not exactly the most attractive lingerie around. I was especially down when I started nursing Ryan. Wearing devastatingly ugly bras are one of my gripes about breastfeeding. I have no idea why most nursing bras have to be only in the shades of white and beige. So, this time, I have decided that I would invest in nice nursing bras and tops very early in my pregnancy.

These are some of the nursing wardrobe staples that I wear at home. They are utilitarian, gives great support and cute! My favourite are the pink striped tank and nursing bra. In fact, these patterns come along with matching undies. These give a great mental boost that I am not wearing granny undergarments! With such choices, nursing mothers definitely do not need to sacrifice our femininity at the altar of nursing!

If you are wondering, I bought all these designs from Spring Maternity when I was about 4 months pregnant and I bought more when they had an online sale early this February. One of my best purchase decisions for breastfeeding thus far. Heehee. 🙂
