There are many firsts to be experienced in London. This time round, it was our first Mid Autumn celebrated in London. We had a potluck session with some of our friends.
My baby Gillian enjoys her lasagna alot. Cooking requires alot of time and preparation. However, when I see how my children enjoying their meals, it makes everything oh-so worth it.
We prepared lasagna, wings, cottage pie, fruits, traditional mooncakes. Yeeyin make honeycomb cake, Tawei bought durian mooncakes(wahhh! serious one sia!) and Yiling got the drinks. Potluck is the way to go man! There is always a good variety of food!~
Sharing mooncakes is one of the hallmark traditions of mid autumn festival. In Chinese culture, a round shape symbolizes completeness and unity. The sharing of mooncakes among family members and friends signify the completeness and unity of relationships.

There we were outside my place, waiting for some fireworks display. Turned out that the firework display was not on the Greenwich side. Hmm… 😦 Ohwells, but at least we did enjoy a good gathering, savored our mooncakes, watched the moon abit and the kids did have their share of mid-autumn fun.
Hope you guys also had a nice Mid Autumn celebration!
