Bella Italia, Beckton

June 2016

It was our first time visiting Bella Italia and surprisingly, we had such a wonderful experience. I used the world, ‘surprisingly’ as one of my close friends warned me against patronising Bella Italia before. Hence, when E suggested lunching at Bella Italia. I did set my expectations to the lowest, only to be impressed by not only the good food, but also the friendly and accommodating staff.

We visited the Beckton outlet and was warmly greeted by one of the service members, Alex. Ryan and Gillian were given colouring materials and naturally, they were busy for like the next 5 minutes before they started asking help to solve the crossword puzzle.

The lunch options all looked good. E had Carbonara while I opted for Gamberoni . The children had their kids set lunches which came with a drink which come with cool looking straws, a starter, a main as well as ice cream to finish off everything sweetly. Did I mentioned that our booth seat came with a mobile charger outlet! Props for that installation! Our waiter, Alex was very attentive to our table. He went to look for a particular straw that Ryan saw from a picture in the menu and go it for him.

Pasta was fresh and portions were generous. I liked my lunch, Gamberoni, in particular. Pasta, garlic, chilli oil and prawns! This is all I want in my pasta dish and it was done really nicely. The kids finished up their food with no complaints.

When the kids were choosing their ice cream, sauces, toppings, the lady in service was so kind and patient. We had such a great lunching experience at Bella Italia, Beckton and we definitely be looking forward to returning! Next time, we will be looking forward to try their grill and pizza!
