WaterBom at Bali

August 2012

Photos for this blog post is taken with my S3 because our camera died. So, I suppose the pictures are of smartphones quality.

After Baby Ryan had his morning breakfast- 6oz of milk, he started reading his books again.

We got ourselves ready for the day and left for breakfast at the cafe.

Because WaterBom was supposedly very near to Ramayana, we decided to push the stroller to the water park. The distance was indeed short but it was rather troublesome because of the stroller and the scorching sun.

With the WaterBom mascot! Entrance fees to WaterBom is quite steep- at USD 31 per adult. So, we paid USD 62 in total because it was free for Baby Ryan!

We mainly hung out at the Kids’ Play Area(which is very similar to Singapore’s Port of Lost Wonder), the Lazy Pool and another slide area. The place had alot more exciting slides and activities but we could not participate in them because of Baby Ryan. Next time, maybe!

We bought new Quiksilver rashie and boardshorts for Baby Ryan! Yes, he looks wayyy cooler than his parents.

I got really tired very soon and E took over caring for Baby Ryan…

****

We played for two hours or so before Baby Ryan got tired and fell asleep. Then, E and I went off for lunch at Bubba Gump. E ordered the Dixie Style Baby Back Ribs while I got the “I’m Stuffed!” Shrimps and our mains all came along with a free dessert. 🙂 Food was a-okay but what we enjoyed most was being able to watch Forrest Gump all over again while we were lunching.

We returned to the hotel for an afternoon nap before heading back to play at WaterBom again at 5pm. The whole family went for a few more rounds at the Lazy Pool and we left the water park. Baby Ryan fell asleep again(he must be super tired from the water activities) and so E and I went to do some Bali shopping- for dresses, bottoms and Ryan’s clothes.

Dinner was packed back to our room. It was from Stadium, a burger restaurant very near to our hotel. It was good and all of us enjoyed our dinner alot! Woots!

Water Play at 112 Katong

July 2012

Weekends are finally here again. This time round, we brought Baby Ryan to 112 Katong, one of our favourite haunts when we were staying in Telok Kurau. Breakfast was at Canton Paradise and it was yummy!

Here’s a picture of Daddy with Baby Ryan. Ryan and I left E to order our breakfast while we went to Baby Online Shop to get some snack. When we came back, I was surprised by the amount of food that he ordered. Hmm… the thing about E is that, he usually over orders for meals.

Bacon Cheese Rolls

Char Siew and Custard Buns

Prawn Cheong Fun

Lean Meat and Century Egg Congee

Pork Ribs in Bean Sauce…

You can see that Ryan did enjoy his dim sum breakfast!
😛

After breakfast, we headed to the water playground and surprisingly, it was not as crowded as I expected it to be. The last time when I brought Ryan to the water playground at Tampines One(here and here) during a weekend, the place was packed!

Anyways, I thought the water playground at 112 Katong is alot bigger and more fun(E thinks otherwise though…) While the theme for the water playground at Tampines One is on animals, the theme for 112 Katong appears to be somewhere the lines of music. Kids can have the chance to play with the gong, xylophone and a few other musical stuff in the play area.

Jurong Bird Park on a warm Saturday

May 2012

Family Day was in May and I purchased two tickets(at a subsidised rate of $10 each) for us to go to Jurong Bird Park. Cheap Cheap! The tickets were inclusive of entrance, lunch and lucky draw.

We had to wake up early in the morning to head off all the way to the West of Singapore. Half way, Ryan did his Number 2 and we had to stop at some bus stop to change his diapers. 😛

Because it was Family Day, the bird park was so crowded and parking was quite troublesome.

Taking pictures with the Bird Park mascots.

Daddy and Baby. Okay, I know Baby Ryan is not really at the age whereby he can actually appreciate the types of birds. Well, at least he knows what are birds. Not that bad for a 11 month baby then.

One of the rare days when we are all dressed in the same color.

Waterplay again. We learnt from our zoo expedition that we should always bring Ryan’s swim suit when we visit such kids’ friendly places. There will bound to be some water playground given how hot Singapore is.

The weather was once again scorching hot. Seriously, what’s up with the heat wave and all. In the end, E and I bought some iced drink at $8… because we were THAT parched.

Left the Bird Park around 2ish and we went to Vivocity for lunch, Thank God that Ryan was having his afternoon nap while we were eating. Heehee. Sometimes, we need that peace and quiet.

After lunch, we went to Daiso and bought a whole lot of random items- baby wipes, bath toys, toy balls… Walked around abit more and we settled at Gelare for ice cream. Ryan was really enjoying his waffles with ice cream.

Once again, it was another good outing with my boys.

:))))

Our first trip to the Zoo!

I am sure clearing my older blog entries this June holidays. Well, it is therapeutic for me!

5th May 2012

My Papa got some company zoo tickets and he passed them to us.
So, our entry to the zoo was free! Woots!
Don’t really want to pay $40 for both of us to enter the zoo when we are not even sure how long Ryan will last there…

******

The last time I went to a zoo, I was like 12.
I went there with my siblings, cousins, Mummy and Aunt Linda.
Well, those were the days man…

Good morning!

Ryan, looking very intrigued.

Checking out where should we head to.

Breakfast at good ol’ KFC.

This is Ryan’s first time at a water playground. In fact, we did not expect to find a water playground in the zoo. Ryan was excited to see the water playground and so many kids running around, splashing water under the hot sun.

In the end, we went to the swimwear store to purchase a swim diaper and off lil’ Ryan goes to the water playground! Despite the fact that it was his first time there, he was very enthusiastic about it! Heehee.

Waiting for the animal show to start!

We only managed to catch like 20 minutes of the show. Ryan was starting to be rather cranky because he was sleepy. Boohoo!

Goodbye!

Water Playground at Tampines 1.

June 2012

This June holidays has been nothing but awesome. Spent a lot of time with Ryan and my family. Because I usually spend quite a huge amount of time at work, I always end up feeling extremely guilty about neglecting Ryan and just leaving him in the care of my Mummy. Yes, my Mummy is  great care giver but I really wish I can spend more time with my son…

Anyhoots, I brought Baby Ryan to the water playground at Tampines  1 again. This time round, we were there later and the playground was crowded with toddlers and primary school kids. I suppose this is a popular place for many parents in the East. First, it is free. Second, there are quite a few fun water grounds for the kids to play on. It is also animal themed so while playing you can teach your child what is a polar bear, hippoportamaus and so on. My take would be to head there early because it cab really get scorching hot at around 11ish.

Thank goodness for that Kimberly was around with us this time round. She played with Ryan while I slacked away in the sun. I used to think that my huge age difference with Kimberly(10 years, to be exact) meant that we would not be as close as sisters whose age difference are smaller. Well, guess not! We share clothes as well! No. I am kidding. 😛 She has better fashion sense than me… Heehee. She is a great help for me. She reads to Ryan his favourite book everyday. She plays the piano for him. She sings to him. So, now, you understand how she is invaluable to Ryan and me.

Here’s Mama and Ryan on the carousel. Quite a nice picture eh. We shopped around and had our lunch  at Tampines Mall for a while after the water play.

Ryan and I will be looking forward to our next water play session with Daddy soon!

I ♥ Water Playground!

June 2012

image

Today is the first time that Ryan rode on a bus and Mrt. And he was so excited during the trip.

We wanted to go to the library initially but we were too early and the library only opens at 11am. In the end, we took a train to Tampines to try out the water playground at T1.

It was abit chilly in the morning. But the sun came up really fast and soon we were all baking.

Baby Ryan had a great time playing and making new friends. We cannot wait to return with E sometime next week!

After all the fun, we still manage to squeeze in some library time before we head back to the library for some reading. Ryan was not too enthusiastic about reading though. He was very much more into running around the children section and having me to chase after him to clear the mess.

image

Hello. So here’s a picture of Ryan who looks like he is very into reading. Heehee. 🙂
